'Twas a lazy day; found awesome cooking website

It was a drizzly, dreary Sunday here in the Land of Perpetual Sunshine. While on a morning walk, I pointed out that the ash trees have turned a lovely shade of gold and The Man's retort was "Yeah, we're finally getting some fall color."

Yep, that's how it's been around here the past decade or so; it seems we go from summer to fall and straight on to spring, skipping over any semblance of winter. I've lived here since third grade and The man is a native son. I remember, as a kid, getting upset because it was so cold on Halloween that I had to wear a sweater over my perfectly awesome costume. Now, I know that "cold" is subjective, so keep in mind that I'm talking "cold" in relation to the Desert Southwest. At any rate, the past several Halloweens have been positively shorts-and-tshirt weather; not at all conducive to getting into the spirit of the season. Maybe things are changing though; we've had a few freezing nights that ALMOST make it feel like winter.

But back to lazy; the soil is still too wet to work so my garden is still just a dream. It was too wet outside to do much yard work, so we did a bit of shopping and then just kicked back for the day. I spent a few pleasant hours surfing the Web. Someone on one of the many forums I hang out mentioned a new website she found, Well Enough Alone It's a blog about cooking for one or two and has some AWESOME recipes and ideas. It is a definite addition to my web browser bookmarks!
